Leia Inc. Partners With Afflelou To Showcase Magic Glasses

Award-Winning Lume Pad Features Unique Product Storytelling and Experiences
Paris, France, October 27, 2021 —, Leia Inc., the experience platform and leader in 3D Lightfield display technology, today announced a partnership with Afflelou, one of Europe’s leading franchisors of optical products to showcase their flagship product Magic Glasses, on the award-winning Lume Pad.
With more than 150 models for men, women and children, and over 100 colour variations, for the first time Afflelou will be offering a unique experience to their customers by giving them the opportunity to view and customize Magic Glasses at their flagship locations by utilizing the 3D Lightfield display on Lume Pad tablets. The trendy and lightweight frames can be transformed based on style and color preferences thanks to interchangeable clips.
Lume Pad’s 3D Lightfield enabled display showcases the different Magic Clip options in vivid color, along with unparalleled depth, texture and the ability to zoom-in on materials, hinges and other features. Customers will be able to view and interact with products in an immersive 3D way, with a full 360 degree view, enabling for a richer and more realistic shopping experience when customizing their eyewear.
“Digital enables greater diversification and innovation in storytelling as we look for new ways to communicate,” said Anthony Afflelou, Directeur Général Marketing et Communication at Afflelou Group. “Technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, making it possible to now create and showcase lifelike 3D modeling through communication tools, like Leia’s lume Pad.”
“Naked-eye 3D is a facelift for the retail industry. As the distance between the digital and real world increasingly disappears, customers are looking for unprecedented levels of product immersion and realism,” said Karin Araman, Director of Partnerships at Leia. “Afflelou is embracing 3D technology to redefine the customer experience through more compelling storytelling. This is essential as brands will live in the metaverse, just as much as in the real world, in the coming years. 3D Lightfield is the natural medium to make digital products indistinguishable from real ones — allowing customers to consistently enjoy premium-immersive experiences.”
