What You’ll Do

The Corporate Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, will lead the accounting department in all aspects of its function from AP, AR and revenue recognition to financial reporting, taxation and internal audit, with a focus on efficient execution of core accounting processes; accurate and timely reporting both internally and externally; and the strictest adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines around the world. In this role you must have a passion for analyzing large amounts of accounting data and information to identify opportunities to benefit the company, working internationally across functional and departmental lines to implement positive change in the organization; and leading a team of bright and capable accounting professionals to consistently increasing levels of performance and efficiency. Some of the core tasks you will work on and oversee are:

  • Activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including (but not limited to) internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits.
  • Monthly close process and assist in ensuring that all accounting and processing is in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and corporate procedures.
  • Accounting operations of subsidiary entities, including control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, cash control, payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
  • Accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, and cash receipts application.
  • Overall payroll administration with third party vendor.
  • Manage audit activities including financial, 401K, property taxes, tax, and insurance related audits.
  • Direct the development of timely, effective financial analysis (monthly as well as long term) of all facets of the Company’s business operations and provide recommendations to key managers on areas of opportunity and operational direction.
  • Assure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting and regulatory requirements and assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns.
  • Provide systems and processes to capture and report annual budgets and assist in creating reports that can show actuals v budgets from the accounting system.
  • Lead KPI process for accounting and assistance with designing, developing and implementing standard operational KPI's at the entity and business unit level.
  • Analyze, organize, summarize, and articulate complex legal and financial information.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts/agreements, then implement the relevant provisions of these contracts/agreements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business information systems to improve Company business performance.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
  • Assess the financial implications of new accounting pronouncements, issue assessment of implications.
  • Respond to management with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a range of financial reports.

What You’ll Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in leading accounting teams in a global company, 15 years in overall accounting experience
  • Expert GAAP knowledge and financial reporting technical skills
  • Exposure to private equity-owned companies a plus
  • In depth knowledge of business and operations in the accounting industry
  • Excellent financial and analytical abilities
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel, and Word)
  • CPA strongly preferred
